1. Demonstrate using gears and cadence to maintain momentum and position in a changeable group, race or competition
2. Tactically, and smoothly select gears in order to respond to, or initiate attacks.

Rider demonstrates

• Be aware and anticipate attacks from the group, and choose an appropriate gear in advance of your response.
• Practice changing gears discreetly in a bunch, to maintain a tactical advantage for your attack.
