- Practise timing your pedal strokes to be able to lift the front wheel slightly off the ground.
- Complete a powered front wheel lift over a small obstacle such as a cone, water bottle, or line.
- Perform a front wheel lift, completing one pedal stroke with your front wheel in the air.

- Pracitce timing the downwards pedal stroke with a 'pop' of the front wheel.
- Focus on a stron push on the leading pedal to bring the front wheel up under power.
- Ensure you have your rear brake covered to control the wheelie once the front wheel is lifted.
- Beginners should practise their front wheel lifts on flat pedals, and on soft ground such as grass or sand.
- Select an appropriate gear.
